This image of an antique holy card from France honors the Our Lady of the Smile. As a child St Therese endured physical, emotional, and spiritual agony after the death of her mother and departure of her older sister to the convent. While bed-ridden with agony, she gazed upon the family statue of Our Lady for help and the face of the statue appeared to come alive and smile at Therese, who was instantaneously healed of her affliction. Available in a small size to carry or and larger size in a muted gold display frame for table top display.
